What engine does the 2020 Forte GT get?
The engine is the real showstopper here. On the top GT trim (not the GT-Line trim), you get a 1.6-liter turbocharged powerplant. This ample engine can pump out up to 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque leaving the already ample 2.0-liter engine that comes standard on the Forte in the dust.
Other Forte trims come with an iVT or intelligent variable transmission, but the Forte GT gets a dual-clutch 7-speed transmission. This essentially combines two gearboxes together for lightning-fast shifts. Modern supercars use similar transmissions today.

Other differences for the 2020 Forte GT
The Forte GT trim will stand out even at a standstill as it is the only 2020 Forte that rides on 18-inch wheels. Other exterior items that differentiate this trim on the outside include a sport-tuned exhaust with dual chrome exhaust tips and a sport grille which also comes on the GT-Line trim.
There are a few other features that you get exclusively on the top GT trim of the 2020 Forte. They include high beam assist, LED headlights with auto-leveling, a D-shaped performance steering wheel, and sport seats with red stitching.
