New engine options for the 2020 Kia Soul
For 2020, the Kia Soul is getting a new standard engine. It’s a 2.0-liter Nu four-cylinder that you may remember from the 2019 Kia Forte. This engine can produce up to 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque.
Though it is available with a manual transmission, it’s also available with an Intelligent Variable Transmission or IVT. This new style of transmission promises to provide wonderful efficiency. Of course, if you want more power, then the 1.6-liter turbo engine is still available. It even still comes in all its 201-horsepower and 195-pound-feet of torque glory.
